 
Aquatropics is licensed through the Department of Natural Resources in association with the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife, to sell fish native to the waters of Minnesota. These fish are typically available from March through December. Varieties include (though not limited to) Muskellunge, Northern Pike, Walleye, Large & Small Mouth Bass, Crappie, Perch, Sunfish, and Catfish. The aquarium system needed to maintain the natives is virtually identical to a tropical system without the heater.
